Assistant Director of Special Education - Qualifications: Professional Educator Licensure with Administrative and Director of Special Education Endorsements. Principal and Teacher Evaluator Training Preferred.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following characteristics:   
 •         Three years or more of successful administrative/supervisory experience in special education exemplifying solid leadership and problem solving ability.
  •         Collaborative management style and able to work as an effective team member. 
  •         Knowledge of school finance including budgets, grants, student billings and reimbursement claims.
  •        Ability and background necessary to administer our public day program for students with social/emotional disabilities.
  •         Knowledge of best practices and research-based instructional strategies.

  •         Ability to supervise administrative personnel to ensure continuous improvement of instruction and assessment of student outcomes.
  •         Knowledge of personnel policies and human resource functions of school districts in employing and maintaining quality personnel.
 •         Knowledge of professional development programs to enhance the performance of personnel and the ability to plan and present professional growth presentations.
 •         Ability to be an effective liaison with our member school districts as well as other state and local community service agencies.
 •         Administer low incidence programs with leadership and vision.

Woodgate Needs Bilingual Preschool for All Teacher

School District159 seeks Bilingual Preschool for All Teacher at Woodgate Elementary School in Matteson.
This position will encompass preschool-aged children (i.e. ages 3-5) who are in need of a structured, enriched and engaged classroom environment to promote appropriate academic and socio-emotional skill development. The teacher will be required to develop and reinforce appropriate cognitive and emotional skill development through a variety of modalities needed by the children. The teacher will be required to develop a program environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils; to motivate . pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to be successful in accordance with each student's ability . ·Instruction will be provided with the assistance of teacher paraprofessional. Class size will vary and will include both regular and special education students who are incorporated within the blended model prescribed by ISBE that encompasses two (2) half-day sessions each day during the school day.

Math Instructors Needed

Elementary Teacher Job Description

Job Description
The Special Education Teacher is responsible for overseeing the pre-referral and referral processes of special education, as well as overseeing the creation of, and execution of, IEPs and 504s for special needs students. They act as both the Special Education Teacher and Case Manager for the school.

  1. Bachelor's degree is required;
