Director of Special Education
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $105k - $140k, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Guide the development and implementation of short and long-range plans to achieve network SPED goals
- Direct SPED services for all students with disabilities
- Monitor the development and implementation of SPED programs
- Approve hiring of SPED teachers
- Supervise and evaluate network psychologists and other network SPED staff
- Facilitate and participate in all relevant matters with local education agencies, ISBE and Office of Civil Rights
- Direct the allocation of SPED staff to schools
- Ensure compliance with SPED regulations
- Respond to concerns of parents, school leaders and CMO leaders
- Monitor school achievement testing
- Ensure effective Multi-Disciplinary Support Systems in place
- Plan and implement professional development
- Manage 12 staff and dotted line for all SPED teachers and social workers in the network
Qualifications:
- 5+ years teaching special education
- Experience managing SPED programs in a network or multi-school environment
- Illinois LBS I Certification of Highly Qualified according to ISBE
- Director of SPED IL License Endorsement preferred
- Experience in an urban area
- ELL and school psychologist experience preferred
- Demonstrated track record of delivering gains in academic achievement
- Experience analyzing student academic data

Full-Time Spanish Bilingual Teacher
Chicago Math and Science Academy AND Horizon Science Belmont
prepares students to succeed in college and the world by offering high-quality,
college-prep, STEM education.
We are seeking a full time Spanish Bilingual Teacher. Currently
the position requires the bilingual teacher to push in to rooms with larger EL
populations. The students require extra support in their other
classes. The teacher would clarify and modify work for the students in
the program (and any other student who needs help). He/she would co-teach with
a SPED teacher. The co-teach model could change daily based on the
lesson. The teacher will push into other classes as well to assist the
bilingual students. The job may change as the year progresses and the
needs of the students change.
Qualifications:
- Certified teacher in elementary/middle OR high school
- Endorsed in Spanish bilingual

The Bridge Youth and Family Services seeks a full-time bilingual (Spanish speaking) counselor to provide outpatient psychotherapy to children and families in the northwest suburban community.
This position is 40 hours weekly and includes weekday day and evening hours. Master's degree in a human service discipline required, salary increase for licensure, and The Bridge will help the successful candidate achieve and maintain licensure.
