Hillside Academy East Campus (HAEC), a member of The Menta Group, is an alternative safe school for elementary, middle and high school students who are at-risk of suspension or expulsion or have other special education needs to be served. The school's curriculum is geared to primary, middle and high school students, and the credit earning system for high school students is aligned with its partnering district/Chicago Public Schools. Freshmen take Unified Science, an introductory science class that covers the basic principles of engineering and scientific methods; seniors take an elective science.  We require a candidate deeply committed to teaching students to problem solve and think scientifically while building scientific skills and literacy.
