Mission: Intrinsic prepares all students for college
persistence and 21st century success via a replicable, sustainable academic
model that integrates technology with great teaching.
Why Intrinsic Schools?
We offer a chance to make a huge impact in urban education
by creating an academic model that leverages great teaching and the precision
of technology to personalize education for each student. Our goal is to prepare
all students for four year college success as demonstrated by the high quality
student work, growth on assessments (NWEA and EPAS) and "non-cognitive"
factors such as empathy, student independence, perseverance, and intellectual
curiosity.
Our team has a unique mix of charter and deep CPS experience
that we believe creates a broad range of perspectives that ultimately leads to
stronger schools. Our special education team will also have access to mentors
with 60 years of collective special education experience including district
leadership, teacher training and coaching and IEP development.
Finally, we offer a chance to be a part of an elite peer
group. We collaborate with some of the
most successful traditional charter and district schools and the most
innovative schools nationally as we refine our model. The transformations we
see starting at our new campus (4540 W. Belmont) will be shared across the
city, the state and the nation to every school ready to install blended
classrooms.
