This position will encompass preschool-aged children (i.e. ages 3-5) who are in need of a structured, enriched and engaged classroom
environment to promote
appropriate academic and socio-emotional skill development. The teacher will be required
to develop and reinforce appropriate cognitive and emotional
skill development through a variety
of modalities needed by the children. The teacher will be required to develop
a program environment
favorable to learning
and personal growth; to establish
effective rapport with pupils; to motivate . pupils to develop skills,
attitudes and knowledge
needed to be successful in accordance with each student's
ability . ·Instruction will be provided
with the assistance of teacher paraprofessional. Class size will vary and will include
both regular and special education
students who are incorporated within
the blended model prescribed by ISBE that encompasses two (2) half-day
sessions each day during the school day.
Qualified applicants must have Type 4 (Early Childhood Endorsement) with Special Education and Bilingual Spanish endorsement and must be fluent in Spanish written/verbal.
