Early Childhood Educators Wanted For Paid Research Study

Early childhood educators, we want your input!

Researchers are developing a classroom tool to measure preschoolers’ social and emotional skills. We are seeking teachers’ feedback to improve the tool and teacher training. 

Interested? You may be eligible for a paid, non-invasive research study at the University of Illinois at Chicago. E-mail us if you have worked as an early-childhood lead, assistant, or student teacher for at least 1 year.

The West Town Academy (WTA) is seeking a High School English instructor to develop lesson plans and provide academic instruction and individualized mentoring to assigned students. 

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and valid Illinois Type 9 certification or Professional Educator License; a master's degree is preferred.  Candidates should possess a demonstrated commitment to community service.  Two or more years of related experience with at-risk, dropout youth is preferred.

The Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL) is looking for Roosevelt December graduates and seniors interested in teaching in Chicago Public Schools (CPS). This summer we hired 8 Lakers. We'd love to hire more!

French and Mandarin/Math Teachers Wanted

The World Language Department at Curie Metro High School is looking to fill two maternity leave teaching positions.  The Department seeks recent graduates and students completing their programs in December, 2014.  Below are the two positions available:

French Teacher
February 2014 - February 2015 (1 year position)
Must be certified in French and have either a Type 09 or Substitute Certificate.

Mandarin/Math Teacher
December 2014-February 2015 (3 month position)
Must be certified in Mandarin or Math (with language skills in Mandarin) and have either a Type 09 or Substitute Certificate.
