Advanced Learning Facilitator Needed

Arlington Heights School District 25 is seeking candidates for the Advanced Learning Facilitator. This position is anticipated to begin in October for a period of 14 weeks.

The Advanced Learning Facilitator will develop capacity of classroom teachers to differentiate for high-end challenge/advanced learning in the general education setting; Oversee the design and ongoing implementation of  PSI Hour; Provide Leadership and support for staff as related to individualized advanced learner needs. Curriculum & Professional Development Director Needed

The mission of the Illinois Safe Schools Alliance (the Alliance) is to promote safety, support and healthy development for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth, in Illinois schools and communities, through advocacy, education, youth organizing and research.

Illinois Safe Schools Alliance seeks a Curriculum & Professional Development Director.
This position is full-time and can be based in Chicago, Champaign, Peoria, or Springfield. The core hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00pm; however, this position does require travel statewide as well as attendance at meetings and events occasionally on evenings and/or weekends. Salary is commensurate with experience; benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid leave; and paid holidays.
Major responsibilities for this position include, under the supervision of the Executive Director:
Provide leadership in the planning, development, and production of LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum materials, processes, and best practices that are evaluated and demonstrated to be highly effective in improving student outcomes; Manage the growth and implementation of the Alliance’s professional development programs; Partner with the Executive Director, Development staff, and Board members on all fundraising activities including special events, cultivating individual donors, developing sponsorship opportunities, fee-for-service programming, and grant-writing and reporting.
 
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to copying and collating training materials; collaborating with partners, outside contractors and vendors; and partnership building activities.
