Behavior Therapists Needed

Total Spectrum provides in-home applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to children with autism. They currently have several openings throughout the Chicagoland area for Behavior Therapists positions.  This is a great opportunity for current/past students to get experience in the field of psychology. We have all of our therapists go through the training to become Registered Behavior Technicians with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board--candidates receive a $200 bonus upon completion!

Exciting After School Program Assistant Teacher Wanted

Supporting Literacy and Math (SLAM) is seeking an assistant teacher to join the team of an innovative after school program in the Rogers Park area in Chicago, IL for the 2015-2016 school year.  SLAM supports at-risk kindergarten and first grade students by building foundational skill support in reading and math.  SLAM engages students by offering a curriculum that celebrates active learning in a small group environment.

Job Requirements:
*Seeking a Bachelor’s Degree or higher
* Previous experience working with students aged 5-8 years old preferred
*Coursework and/or graduate work in elementary education, reading, learning disabilities, ELL, or special education preferred
*Must be a team player and welcome the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment.

Program Logistics: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-6:00 p.m.
                                   October 13, 2015 - May 5, 2016

The mission of the Illinois Safe Schools Alliance (the Alliance) is to promote safety, support and healthy development for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth, in Illinois schools and communities, through advocacy, education, youth organizing and research.

Illinois Safe Schools Alliance seeks a Curriculum & Professional Development Director.
This position is full-time and can be based in Chicago, Champaign, Peoria, or Springfield. The core hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00pm; however, this position does require travel statewide as well as attendance at meetings and events occasionally on evenings and/or weekends. Salary is commensurate with experience; benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid leave; and paid holidays.
Major responsibilities for this position include, under the supervision of the Executive Director:
Provide leadership in the planning, development, and production of LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum materials, processes, and best practices that are evaluated and demonstrated to be highly effective in improving student outcomes; Manage the growth and implementation of the Alliance’s professional development programs; Partner with the Executive Director, Development staff, and Board members on all fundraising activities including special events, cultivating individual donors, developing sponsorship opportunities, fee-for-service programming, and grant-writing and reporting.
 
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to copying and collating training materials; collaborating with partners, outside contractors and vendors; and partnership building activities.
