Tutors for 4th Graders Needed

The College of Education and WITS (Working in the Schools) collaborate to provide weekly tutoring for 4th graders who come to campus from Bouchet Academy.  The children are delightful, and they look forward eagerly to tutoring each week. Unfortunately, we don't have enough tutors to meet the program goal of one tutor for each child, and we are hoping that you might have time to join us. Tutoring takes place on Monday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the Gage Building. A background check (which WITS will pay for) and completion of an online tutorial about tutoring are required for all tutors. If you have an hour to make a difference in a child's life, please contact either Professor Gouwens (jgouwens@roosevelt.edu) or Kevin Hujar (kevinh@witschicago.org) to make arrangements for a background check and the online tutorial, and join us in this very important work.
