Tilden High School, a Chicago Public School (CPS) neighborhood
high school of 350 students, is seeking dynamic, energetic,
and reflective teaching practitioners in the fields of: Math, Music,
and Special Education. Tilden is located at 4747 S. Union in Chicago's
Canaryville community. The school serves students from the surrounding areas of
Back of the Yards, Bridgeport, Bronzeville, Canaryville, Chinatown, and
Englewood. Through a partnership with Columbia College of Chicago, Tilden is 1of
2 Convergence Academies in CPS. As a Convergence Academy, Tilden
implements project based learning and digital media integration into
curriculum and instruction. The school operates on a 4x4 block schedule; this
schedule provides students with an opportunity to earn 8 credits per school year and
for teachers to have
smaller class loads of students to focus on during each
semester. Tilden is a fun and vibrant work environment full of smart
professionals who think creatively and do things outside of the box to best serve students.
