The Peace and Education Coalition
High School is searching for two teacher candidates who hold an
LBS1 endorsement. The successful candidates must be skilled at
developing strong relationships with students and colleagues, developing
CCSS-aligned units of instruction, and implementing engaging and rigorous
academic instruction. This is a full-time CPS
teacher position that is available immediately.
We are a Chicago Public Schools Options school
that reengages 16-21 year-olds who have fallen off track with their credits or
have been out of school and have made their own decision to return to school
and complete their high school diploma. We have two campuses and each site has
approximately 80-100 students and a tight-knit team of 8-10 teachers who
provide all of the courses our students need to graduate. We operate on a
four period daily-block schedule where our teachers teach 3 blocks, and have
one full 90-minute block for planning. Our class sizes range from 10-18
students.
